Guro Sal,

Sounds GREAT! Count me in for BOTH sessions on Saturday!

It's been almost three-years since I went to a MA seminar (the last was the 03 Winter Camp here)... and I'm WAY over-due to bang some sticks!

Training with Cebu West and Datu Hartman will be AWESOME! I can't wait!

Best Regards,

Andy

Andy, you are in for a FANTASTIC time!

Had the good fortune of working with Datu Hartman as well as Guros Sal, Jeff, and Steve during the FMAtalk Meet and Greet. Anytime you can get mat time you can get with any of these gents - grab the opportunity. They are fantastic teachers and the time will fly by far too quickly. :)

The seminar is getting close and interest has been really good. We should have an excellent turnout.
Just a little info on the facility for the seminar. Last year the Folsom Fire Co where the hall is located tore down the old building and replaced it with a state of the art facility. The new banquet hall that we will be using is great and even has carpeting. For those of you who have been to the old building you will really like the new room.
Hope to see some FMA Talk and Martial Talk people there.

Well, it's almost Seminar Day!

How are things coming along Guro Sal?

I'm really looking forward to seeing Datu... and to training with everyone!

After working very hard (MA and otherwise) for the past few months... I decided to take the entire Seminar weekend off... and will have Sat and Sun totally open... just in case any "after class" adventures on Sat make me not want to be alive come waking up Sunday morning!

Hopefully there will be other MT and FMAT people in attendance...

See everyone there!

Best Regards,

Andy

I'm assuming that you flew in. I like to drive even though it's a 6 hour trip. I take Pa-322 instead of I-80. It's a nice scenic drive through Amish country and it takes me right into Media and Philly. Hope you guys and girls have a great time. I just got an e-mail from the other seminar, and they're having an excellent time. I wish I were there, but due to a scheduling mistake at work I'm working today.... :bawling:

Well... just rolled in a little while ago from the seminar...

What a GREAT DAY!

The morning Modern Arnis seminar went great... and the afternoon was my first exposure to Balintawak... talk about a BRAIN CRAMP!

All in all... a GREAT DAY! Met some new friends... saw a few old ones... and got some GREAT TRAINING IN!

Mr. Hartman has to be one of the hardest working guys I know in the Martial Arts!

He drove (yes drove) down from Buffalo yesterday... getting in around 7pm last night... stayed up talking with Sal until after Midnight... did todays two sessions... had dinner with a few of us... and then pointed his car Northbound to drive 2+ hours up to the Harrisburg area for a seminar in the morning!

THEN... he'll drive back home... just so he can be at his school by 8am Monday to teach a Kids Camp from 9-5 !

I'm tired just thinking about it!

Safe travels, Sir! And THANK YOU for sharing your time and knowledge with us today!

Best Regards,

Andy

P.S. I'll try to write more on the two sessions up later... and I know Guro Sal has a few pictures...
