Mr Steve,
I wish you and everyone here well. Yes , I do practice FMA but not the one I saw in Phila. We are more of the continous fighting but also with rules. I try to practice everyday with my relatives when I can between my 9-5 job and my family. I love the spoprt just like you guys. I hope to get inputs and learn from you all in regard to the art however it is played. Best to you too.

Just joined here, and I'm glad I found it.
Been playing with various martial arts - especially with ones with weapons - for about 3 decades. One of my great joys was finding Maestro Braulio Pedoy's school of Derobio escrima when I was stationed at Pearl Harbor in the 1980's.
Recently I've been going back to the European sword and finding how much help the escrima continues to be.

Welcome! What type of Western swordwork are you doing?

Name it. ;) Actually, the one I've delved the most deeply into is the longsword of fiore dei Liberi (ca 1400). It has scary similarities to Japanese kenjutsu, even down to the grappling.
I'm developing something on my own for fun, which I call "Barbarian Swordcraft". It's not intended to be anything historical, and it's more than 50% escrima.
Thank you for the welcome. :)
