Most of you folks know the name KA-BAR.
If you know the name Roswell Park, then you are either from the greater Buffalo area, or know someone with cancer. In my case, it was (almost) both. I was born in Buffalo, and my mom's goiter was treated at Roswell Park. My mom's treatment was a success, she has been asymptomatic for about 30 years.
I went to KA-BAR's website to find that KA-BAR has committed a minimum $25K donation to Roswell Park's Breast Cancer Institute. I have no connection with KA-BAR other than that of a loyal consumer. Personally, I'm very touched by this. I might even nab one of their innocent-looking pink-handled folders. ;)
