Seminar Overview:

This seminar will be a comprehensive look at the worlds of MMA and Muay Thai. The Muay Thai portion will include body movement drills and specific striking combinations that will give the practitioner the tools to grow as a fighter. The MMA portion of the seminar will include all aspects of MMA training. Steve will cover everything from cage wrestling and striking to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Muay Thai Instructor: Coban

Coban was born, Banlu Anwiset, into a farming family of seven in Buriram, Thailand, near the Cambodian border. At age 11, Coban started training Muay Thai. By age 15 he had already fought more than 35 fights. At age 19, Coban had won his first World Championship at Lumpinee stadium. Coban has fought more than 270 fights in his illustrious 23-year career. Coban has won a total of 5 world championships during his career and is passing on his knowledge to his students at New York Jiu Jitsu in New York City.

MMA Instructor: Steve “Sharpshooter” Williams

Steve began training in the martial arts at the age of 12, in the disciplines of Shotokan Karate and Combative Jiu-Jitsu. After moving to New York City from Yonkers, NY, he began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, at the age of 15, and began boxing out of Gleason's gym at the age of 16. Steve has been competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission wrestling since the age of 15.

Steve Williams is currently a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under John Danaher/Renzo Gracie. Furthermore, Steve has also trained with Firas Zahabi in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and is training partners to Georges St. Pierre, David Loiseau, Denis Kang, Tom Murphy, and other Zahabi trained fighters. Steve is currently an active MMA fighter and continues to strive to be the best fighter and teacher he can be.
