Patients, growers and clinics in some of the 14 states that allow medical marijuana are falling victim to robberies, home invasions, shootings and even murders at the hands of pot thieves.

There have been dozens of cases in recent months alone. The issue received more attention this week after a prominent medical marijuana activist in a Seattle suburb nearly killed a robber in a shootout - the eighth time thieves had targeted his pot-growing operation.

It's amazing that just about EVERYTHING will draw crime. Speaking of Seattle, the light rail and street cars do it to.

Liquor stores and gambling joints get robbed everyday in America too. Also, jewlery stores and pawn shops. How about we blame those for increases in crime too? Sounds like an enforcement problem.

Or we can just accept that no matter what we do, there are people out these willing to rob just about anything. Stop blaming pot for peoples actions. It's like saying its a knife's fault for cutting you while you peel veggies.
