In college my brother in law`s landlords were an older couple from Jamaica, who still received newspapers from there every week. There were machete-killings reported all the time, regular as clockwork.

I understand that machete killings are still big in lots of places. It's sort of amazing to me that in this day and age the sword is still such a widely-employed weapon.
