Since I've been dusting off my old Okinawan weapons and applying Senkotiros concepts to many of them such as the Bo and Eku (Oar), I was wondering if anyone else has experimented like this and how well the things mesh. I've also been going through the empty hand forms and reworking some spots tweaking the applications with a little Senko influence.

All the time. Generally it's when I start "applying concepts" instead of trying to make techniques "work" that I find the real learning starts taking place. I suspect that you're doing more than just "tweaking" applications when you go through them with a "little Senko influence;" perhaps it's accurate to say that your overall movement is imbued with a different quality?

Best,
