My son and I went to see this today. It was not very good. The story was at least one-third flashbacks to when the main character was younger (and played by others); the kyoketsu shoge variant that was used repeatedly was clearly CGI; the CGI-generated blood flowed like in Kill Bill; the magical ki-powers were overdone to the point that they were distracting; and overall it was a tired story. So, I can't recommend it.

Still, I did enjoy seeing Sho Kosugi again, even though his character was unrelentingly negative.

Too bad, i was looking forward to it. The action in the commercials looked quite promising.
