Tuhon Bill has given us his blessing in starting a Pekiti Study Group at the
New York Seld Defense Club Academy (where we held the "Basic hand vs. Knife Seminar this weekend 11/14/09).

We will be holding this Study Group every other Saturday and it will start on Saturday November 28th at 11:30am.

The pre-requisite to attend the Study Group is to have either attended
Saturday's Seminar (11/14/09) or have the "Basic Empty hand vs knife" ma
material stamped in your PTI Blue Book.

Note: The study group is designed for students who already have the material to work it, spar with it and exchange ideas. Not to teach it.

Students who do not have "Basic Empty hand versus knife" but wish to attend must get Instruction from a recognized PTI Instructor on the material first (Go to www.pekiti.com (http://www.pekiti.com/) for an instructor in your area).

The Study Group will focus solely on the "Basic Hand versus knife" material and some elements of the Daga 1 & 2 material covered in the seminar.

This will lead us into Tuhons next seminar in March on the complete Daga 1 & 2 material.

The Study group is Free to all Guro's but a $10 dollar mat fee for all other studnets.

I look forward to seeing all those who attended the seminar and other PTI students who were not able to attend as well.

John,

Sounds great. I'll plan on attending as often as I can. Nov. 28 may be a stretch due to family staying for Thanksgiving - but I'll see what I can do.

Best,

Steve

It should also be noted, I have attended seminars where I got the feeling that I was 'on my own'. Several of the Guros took the time to help me, which says a lot about the people there. John you were really a big help, and I learned quite a bit from working with you.

The Saturday group sounds great. I will see what I can do about attending. Driving into LI from NJ is reputed to be very rough, I'll see what I can do about getting a train into LI one or two times between now and March.
