Hello All,

Just want to add that the Seminar is free to all Pekiti International Mataas na Guro's and Pekiti International Andvanced Guro's (Completion of the first Blue Book). All other students are $80 for the day (a very good deal for this material not to mention it's coming straight from Tuhon).

Anyone with trainers or equipment they want to sell, feel free to bring them along. Looking forward to seeing all those who I trained with at Summercamp again. This will be a lot of fun and as you know the material doesn't get better then this.

Space is somewhat limited so if possible please notify me in advance to secure a spot. Email me at: JLeabo@Leboxing.com or call 917-596-2840.

Here is the flyer for the Seminar, all are welcomed, feel free to pass it on:

John,

Just wanted to thank you for an excellent seminar. The turn-out was great and I thought that the character and personalities of all who attended was top rate. There were quite a few teachers there who helped those whose experience with the material was limited. (My neighbor John, who had no experience with the FMA's, said that he had a great time.)

As usual, Tuhon McGrath came to share his high level of expertise mixed with very bad jokes (although I plan to re-tell the one about the Southern vasectomy: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ...").

Looking forward to the next one.

Best,

Steve

p.s. check your email. If my cc doesn't go through you know where to find me!

John, just wanted to thank you for hosting the knife seminar with Tuhon Bill. Like Steve said, awesome techniques, bad jokes. Say, what was up with all the VA. jokes? LOL. Some were funny. I love the honesty of the training. Tuhon Bill, it was awesome doing knife tapping with you afterwards. Like I said, you keept me honest. How is it, you always manage to damage me with the softest things? I'll tell ya, my reaction was as honest as it gets. It was good seeing Maginoo Mike, and and hanging with you and Tommy afterwards. Great wings. I'll try to park in the right direction next time. What was the video magazine's site so we can check it out?

I agree, the material was great and so were the people. Thanks for a great seminar Tuhon Bill. I look forward to training with you again.

Hello All,

A big thanks to Tuhon and everyone who came down to our seminar on Saturday. A special thanks to Magino Mike and all the other Guro's who showed up and helped out for free.

As everyone now knows, Tuhon's stand up routine definitely needs work but his Knife Material was awesome :)

I'm going to try and get him back again sometime in March.

The next seminar will have a pre-rquisite of either having attended Saturdays seminar or having the "Basic Empty hand vs. knife" material
in your Blue Book.

We will be covering the rest of the material we didn't cover from "Basic Hand versus Knife" (like the knife reversal form) and diving deeper into the "Daga 1 & 2 curriculum" at the next seminar.

In the meantime if you bought the DVD's, work the material with a training partner and/or get together with a Pekiti International Class Instructor
(www.pekiti.com (http://www.pekiti.com) for an instructor in your area).

I look forward to seeing everyone again and thank everyone for showing up.

Regards,
John Leabo

P.S. Be on the lookout for Tuhon's Seminar interview with Inside Martial Arts at: Insidemartialarts.tv

Hi Guys,

I had a great time at the seminar as well (a new group of victims, I mean audience, for my jokes is always welcome). I'll be back sometime in March for a follow up.

The interview will appear sometime next month on Inside Martial Arts ( http://www.insidemartialarts.tv/ ). I'll post a notice once it's up.

Regards,

Good news to all who attended the seminar.

Tuhon has given us his blessing in starting a Pekiti Study Group at the
Academy where we held the Seminar. We will be holding this Study Group
every other Saturday and it will start on Saturday November 28th at 11:30am.

The pre-requisite to attend the Study Group is to have either attended
Saturday's Seminar (11/14/09) or have the "Basic Empty hand vs knife" ma
material stamped in your PTI Blue Book.

Note: The study group is designed for students who already have the material to work it, spar with it and exchange ideas. Not to teach it.

Students who do not have "Basic Empty hand versus knife" but wish to attend must get Instruction from a recognized PTI Instructor on the material first (Go to www.pekiti.com (http://www.pekiti.com) for an instructor in your area).

The Study Group will focus solely on the "Basic Hand versus knife" material and some elements of the Daga 1 & 2 material covered in the seminar.

This will lead us into Tuhons next seminar in March on the complete Daga 1 & 2 material.

I look forward to seeing all those who attended the seminar and other PTI students as well.

For further info on the Study Group or directions to the Academy please
Email me at jleabo@leboxing.com

Regards,
John

Hi all, glad to hear Saturdays seminar went well. Unfortunately I could not attend. I had a prior commitment teaching defensive tactics at the Suffolk County Sheriffs Academy. I'm glad to hear the enthusiasm. Keep in mind that anyone interested in training in the Pekiti Tirsia International system can do so with a PTI certified instructor by contacting NY State Director; Magino'o Mike Popolizio @ PekitiTirsia.net. There are PTI Guro instructors available in both Nassau and Suffolk County. Hope to see everyone soon. Mataas Na Guro Joe Nasta

Just want to riterate what I said before about the Study group.

It is not to "teach" the techniques. It is for those who already have the material and wish to work it & spar with it with other students within the PTI organization.

As I also said in my original post, for those who do not have "Basic Hand VS. Knife" MUST go to a certified Pekiti Instructor and get the material before being allowed to attend the study group.

In Long Island there is no one better to do this with, then Magino Mike Popolizio. The second highest ranking person in PTI outside of Tuhon.

Regards,
John
