Hi everyone, my name is Guru James Hogue and I presently live in Kansas about 20-25 minutes from Kansas City. I started my martial arts career in 1975 at the age of 5 yrs old train in Tjimande Chuan Fa under Master David Santiago in Uniontown, PA. It was a mixture of Master Santiago's Family's Filipino Kuntao and Tjimande that he learned when he lived in Indonesia when he was 24 yrs old.

I trained under Tony Marcial of the Marcial Tirada Kali and Chaun Tzi Chuan Kung Fu (Filipino-Chinese). I have also trained with Al Colangelo in Poekoelan Tjimindie. Then I studied under Guy Savelli in Huc Chung Kuntao.

I have trained many Security Personnel, Correctional Officers, Police Officers, and Military Personnel. When I was in the US Army, I was asked to come up with an advance Unarmed Self-Defense (USD) program. I developed the program and the commander of the 977th MP Company in Ft Riley, KS loved it. I severed in Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom from the beginning and did only one tour. While in Iraq I was attached to the Iraqi Police Academy and was the Chief Instructor of the Unarmed Self Defense (USD) Program.

I taught many Army, Navy (Seabees), and Marines while deployed to Iraq. I am now a Police Officer and Part-time Police Academy Instructor for the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center. Well, that's a brief over view of who Guru Jim is. Thanks for your time in reading my Bio.

Welcome! It must have been very rewarding to develop a program for the MPs and other service members and LEOs. That's great!

arnisador,

Yes it has been very rewarding. I like the fact that I've have taught LEO's how to protect themselves in the line of duty. I also enjoy teaching young LEO's how to be police officers. I have two students that I was their instructor in the academy near where I work, and I come in contact with them from time to time. It's rewarding to think that I had a hand in them becoming who they are. Thank you arnisador, and James Miller for your welcome.
