I'm sorry that it took as long as it did for me to write this thread and I hope it doesn't seem to minimize the sincerity of my appreciation. I wanted to write a post thanking you for taking the time to work with me during the Senkotiros seminar on 8/1 and 8/2. I came from a system quite different than Senkotiros, and felt like I had two left feet (and two left hands) when starting out. It was obvious that you were sincerely interested in helping me out and you did (tremendously). I just wanted to say thanks and show my appreciation. You and Tugan Mike are very good teachers and your students are lucky to have knowledgable and effective teachers to coach them. I look forward to further seminars with Grandmaster Pallen and visiting with Tugan Mike from time to time (when I can make the drive). Thanks again for the help and best of luck with training.

Mark

No doubt about it Mark that Brock is a great guy and Senkotiros is a very, very special system! Glad you enjoyed working out with him! http://www.fmatalk.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Mark- it was good to meet you, even if we didn't get to work together very much. I'm glad you were impressed by my teacher and Tugan Mike and especially GM Pallen.

By the way, Guro Brock is hosting GM again for a seminar in October in St Marys, PA. I wonder how far away you are from us?

Lakan Jason,

I'm about 5 hours away from St. Mary's. I'd like to make it, we'll see if it works out. How are hotels in the area?

Thanks for all the kind words Mark. You were also a phenomenal student. You presented alot of good questions. The only way to spread Senkotiros is through new students such as yourself, so I'm always more than happy to train with the new guys and help them out!

Oh and you can me up on my silverdragonmartialarts@hotmail.com for hotel info.

Guro Brock,

I did send out an e-mail today regarding the hotels, prices, etc. I sent it to the e-mail address that I formerly corresponded with you on @senkotiros.org. I'll resend the e-mail to your new address. Looking forward to training again.

Ah crap. Sorry Mark, I haven't checked FMAtalk for a while! Sounds like Guro has you covered, though :)

Unfortunatly I have to cancel the Oct. 10th and 11th seminar. However Grandmaster Pallen will still be at the Buffalo Martial Arts and Fitness Expo the following week (17th and 18th)! Hope to see many of you there!

With the exception of yourself and about 3 other people I didn't get a big enough response to pull the seminar off financially. Grandmaster and several of his students will however still be in Buffalo next weekend for the Expo.

Sorry to hear that. Learning under GM Pallen for even a few hours really opened my eyes to a lot of things. From what little I experienced of it, I think that Senkotiros is absolute poetry in close to middle range-an amazing art. I hope the interest in it continues to grow.

Sorry to hear about that Brock but glad to hear that he is making the expo! Senkotiros is a fantastic system and I have little doubt that it will continue to grow! http://www.fmatalk.com/images/icons/icon6.gif
