A soldier from Fort Bragg died this morning in Denver from injuries suffered from a bar fight in Steamboat Springs on Friday night over a Jimmy Buffett song.

While he said barfights were not uncommon in the town, it was unusual that a person died in a fight not involving any weapons.

"This is the first time that a physical fight has resulted in a loss of life from the use of hands and fists," he said.

Just goes to show you that when you mix alcohol and testosterone nothing good is gonna come of it. And dying over a Jimmy Buffet song is just stupid...are you kidding me Jimmy Buffet..come on. A sad story to be sure...beer muscles obviously didn't work in this case....and NO not all green berets, seals, recons etc are bad asses...matter of fact most of them have 0 empty hand or martial knowledge outside of that BS they call Military Combatives ( a joke)....

This is one reason why the military should go back to the combatives that were in use during the second world war.. They were basic, yet effective.. Nothing like the **** they are being taught now.. This proves that the "combatives" of the military today is as useless as tits on a boar.. Bring back the real world military combatives and do away with the stuff that is being taught nowadays..

Applegate/Fairbairn and O'neill had the right idea during their time.. And the stuff they taught is still being taught in small circles of people who want to survive.. Do some research and learn what real combatives is about..
