Hey,

has anybody heard of Senator Migs Zuburi??

He must be living on PI.

I was contacted by a well known DP-Instructor, who told me that he watched a Lameco Eskrima demonstration by him.



Last October 2008 at the Ayala mall Cebu Pi. Senator Zuburi was our guest speaker and he made a demo of his skills in eskrima he learned long time ago and he called the style Lameco eskrima

That event was World WEKAF arnis tournament participated by worldwide eskrimadors

Senator Zubiri is a highly popular figure in the PI politics

Senator Miguel Zubiri is a long time Kalis Ilustrisimo student. If you've ever read the book: Secrets of kalis Ilustrisimo, you'll recognize him there. He is one of the students in the photos to illustrate the techniques step by step.

Miguel Zubiri is definitely KI, and is also a long-time Bakbakan brother. Lameco is one of the core Bakbakan systems (along with KI, Sagasa, Hagibis, and Ngo Cho Kun Kung Fu)...so it's not surprising that he knows Lameco! :)

Yes, Miguel trained in Lameco, Bakbakan and KI way back in the 80's and 90's. I have known him and his two elder brothers since the late 70's in Manila.
