Okay, I'm improving the advance notification process of communicating what's happening at Pamana ng Mandirigma (IPMAF USA HQ) by 200 percent. Instead of giving you two days notice, this time you have four!
This Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM, I want everyone (martial artists and non-martial artists, grand parents, parents and children) within commute distance of Pleasanton, CA to drop by the school and say hello to the Barangay Dance Troupe.
They will be conducting a workshop on the martial dances of the Philippines for all interested parties.
Admission is free, but donations to their non-profit endeavor would be welcome!
Those who learn the dances will get to perform with them in future events, such as the upcoming International Dance Festival at the Palace of Fine Arts, in San Francisco. If you're interested in performing with them, or you have friends or children who would enjoy doing this type of activity, bring them!
At that time also, I will be discussing/soliciting interest for the following schedule of activities:
Saturdays:
10-12 Noon : For children, youth, and adults: Philippine Folk Dance classes/practice (professional quality)
12 Noon - 1 PM: Lunch Break
1 - 3 PM -- For youth and adults: Philippine Martial Arts classes/practice
3 - 5 PM -- For our senior citizens and the young at heart: Ballroom Dance classes/practice/social -- I need to secure an instructor for this!
Sundays:
Special events, such as martial art seminars conducted by visiting grandmasters, Barangay dress rehearsals, etc.
Location:
Club One Fitness Center (at the former PeopleSoft complex now occupied by Kaiser Permanente)
4460 Hacienda Drive, Bldg A
Pleasanton CA 94588
Any questions, please email or phone me, Thanks!
