I think the History Channel or one of the channels talked about how fast and powerful the bull whip can be, if used correctly.

Very cool! I have recently become more impressed with those who can apply the whip in fighting technique.

I was at a seminar a while back, where I met and watched Ama Guro Raffy Pambuan demonstrate the whip. Here's a little clip of him, but it simply does not do him justice:

I think it's interesting to watch GM Pallen with the whip, and I'm sure it's the same with others who are skilled with it; he can get the thing to *SNAP* anywhere he wants to, whether it's at full length in front of him or behind him, or right next to his head if he wants. Way cool. He demo'ed this at Sama-Sama 2009 too :)

By the way, G Brock's wife did get one this weekend from GM :) He's very generous.
