Tried to find something on how to develop the swinging of the stick.
The only thing that shows up is swinging cheerleading sticks.
It did give a few ideas but really need the fighting art of a man's stick.
How to develop the swinging of the stick properly ?

Is there something on combat twirling ?
Visual illustrations or written demonstrations explaining how to do it correctly.
Sometimes, it helps to have a book so that I can follow the program. Thanks.

Search Youtube for clips of Grandmaster Pallen twirling.
Hello, I did see one and wondered about the slapping. What is it for? Thank you.

Slapping is used as a way to develop the movement of the live hand. It keeps it moving and in the game, working with the stick hand. It can also help develop some torque in striking.

To add to what Manoi Dean said, (or maybe just state it another way) it helps you learn to move your hand around without hitting it with your own stick, and prepares you for checking your opponent.

This one is much more clear and in slow motion. I can see the application here, focusing on the stick.

Great example of live hand checking, off balancing and working with the stick hand... Better explanation thru viewing than I could have typed out.
Thanks...
