FMA Tournament April 18,09 (Bakbakan Rules),Sylvan Lake, Alberta

I was informed by Guro Sonny Padilla (Kali Academy of Martial Arts)that there will be a Kali,Arnis and Eskrima tournament in April 18, 2009 at the Bushido Open (Karate tournament). Divisions will be Single Stick, double Stick, Sword and Dagger, Knife and Long Sword. It will be an open tournament so any other weapon styles are welcome.
It will be held in Sylvan Lake in Alberta Canada.

2 Questions:

1) What is point sparring (non-contact)? Is it really semi-contact?
2) How are you feeling Phil? Almost ready for it?!

Kuya Simon,

I think it is sparring with padded sticks w/ helmet and body armour, not sure though. It is my first time so i can't say if it is semi contact.
I will take vidoe of the event so we can see how it works.

And me? I think i'm going to get beaten to a pulp :), but i'll give it all i got.
