Welcome! I don't think I know about ComJuka Kali. Can you tell us about it (here or in the appropriate arts forum)?

Com-Ju-Ka, Combat-Judo-Karate. Pinoys love acronyms. Look at our names, Arjay, Dj, Joemar, alot of them are combinations of the names of favorite relatives or the parents.
99medic, you a medic?
You should start a first aid thread!:)

ComJuka Kali is in El Paso TX. My Tuhon is Gaudiosa Ruby. I found the school when I was activated and stationed there. I just have the cliffnotes version of the style IT IS EFFECTIVE. I work with Marines in my regular job and occasionally we spar and so far the MCMP is not that effective against Kali.

Hi. Over a decade ago, when I was hosting a "Spotlight on the Masters" seminar series at the Philippine Martial Arts Academy in Vallejo, California, a male student of a female FMA Grandmaster contacted me with regard to including his GM in the line-up. I certainly wanted to! But the caller left NO call-back number! I had heard about such a person in Texas, but nobody I knew AT THAT TIME knew her name or phone number. I'm guessing that the caller was refering to GM Ruby! I am posting this now because that original caller may have thought I simply ignored his inquiry! (smile & sigh -it would have been great to have hosted her!)
