I'm proud to announce the WMAA's 8th Annual Summer Camp! (http://wmarnis.com/2009camp/index.htm) As usual the camp will feature Grand Masters Tim Hartman (http://www.datuhartman.com/) and Rick Manglinong (http://manglinongmartialarts.com/) teaching Modern Arnis, Kombatan and Balintawak concepts. New to this year's staff are Grand Master Ron Van Browning (http://www.trainerselite.net/staff) and 6 time World Muay Thai Champion Saekson Janjira (http://www.saekson.com/home.htm). This is an update for the 2009 WMAA Camp. The camp will be July 17 – 19, 2009. There will be an extra day of training for Brown and Black belts on Thursday, July 16th. Camp participants can attend the extra training session at no additional charge. There will be color belt grading that evening as well.

With the camp quickly approaching, I thought I would give everyone an update. We have reserved a block of rooms at a rate of $105 per night at the Holiday Inn Express Buffalo - Galleria to accommodate camp attendees. It is located at 601 Dingens Street, Cheektowaga, NY 14206, approximately four miles from the camp location. The telephone number is 716-896-2900. When making reservations, be sure to mention the Horizon Martial Arts Group.

We have several people who are traveling solo who have expressed an interest in splitting the cost of a room. If you are interested in sharing a room, please let us know.

On Thursday, there is a bonus class for Modern Arnis instructors. The day starts at 11:30AM with Datu Hartman’s regularly scheduled class. This is an informal session

The Friday session begins at 10:00AM

On Saturday, we will have our annual camp dinner. All camp attendees are welcome.
