This just in!

GM Bobby Taboada (http://www.internationalbalintawak.com/home.htm) will be a special guest at the tournament. He will do a demonstration at the tournament and will teaching a seminar the day after the event at Horizon Martial Arts (http://horizonma.com). Stay tuned for more announcements!

I'm a bit confused about the date(s) of the event. The attached flyer notes that the tournament is scheduled for March 28, 2009 while the posting by Mr. Miller notes that the competition date is October 18. Any clarification available on this? Thanks!

I believe the date has been changed. I got a request to pull the flyer and an updated one should be up shortly.

Is this tournament still going on. What time the does the stick fighting start?

It should start early. about 9am or 10am.

The 2009 Laban Laro was such a success I have decided to split the event into two separate tournaments. The Laban Laro will be our spring weapon fighting tournament featuring Point and Continuous Stick as well as Point Sword Fighting. The Queen City Classic will feature Self Defense, Weapon Forms, Kata, Point Fighting and Point Stick Fighting. The 2010 Laban Laro will be on May 8th. The Queen City Classic will be October 9th. More information will follow.
