October 10 -14 (Workshops)
Featuring no more than two (2) Major FMA System per 3 hour session, preferably one (1) per session.

* Tuesday, October 11: 2 pm to 5 pm
* Wednesday to Friday, October 12 - 14:
9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm

Cost (Pre-registered by October 1st): 5 day Workshop Package US$250; Single session participation US$40.
Cost (Walk-in): 5 day Workshop Package US$300; Single session participation US$50.
Certificate of Participation to be awarded for each individual session.
Daily workshop Schedule: Morning Session 9:00am - 12:00 noon; Afternoon Session 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
October 15 Tournament
(with both local and international teams competing)

International Tournament Participation Fee:
US$50 (see 2005 FMA Summit details for graduated prices). Must pre-register by October 10. Absolutely NO walk-ins.
Philippine participants must contact Rholee V. Maximo (+639164628659) for participation fee details.
Note: All FMA styles are welcome. However, priority is given to pre-qualified Bakbakan Tournament champions and alternates.
Medals to be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all competitors.
No-show (default) penalties to be imposed beginning 10:00 am.
October 15 Banquet - Evening

Dinner: US$20. All are welcome. Must pre-book to guarantee space. Please contact Peachie Saguin (+639178471408) to reserve space no later than Oct. 12.

Although I did not attend, here is some news on the event.

Unfortunately there was only a small number in attendance for the workshops and they were from the U.S., Canada and locally. I was told by local players that it was difficult to attend because they were conducted during weekday. However, the tournament over the weekend drew over 100 participants from different styles and all over the Philippines. The rules took a little getting used to but the coaching and contribution from various instructors transitioned the players in.

All in all, the goals of the event to foster camaraderie and promote the many styles and organizations in the Philippines were met with great enthusiasm and support. As a result, planning for the next one has already begun.
