The seminar was a very big success for those who attended. Master Ricketts re-established the meaning of having a solid foundation and refined body mechanics. Both beginners and experienced alike, found the consistency of the training so beneficial that all have expressed an interest in his return to Maryland. Participants came from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, San Francisco and locally to experience Kali Ilustrisimo from the disciple most well known for his no nonsense approach to combat functionality.

The only downfall of the event was that the 2 separate locations were several counties away from each other, making the commute rather difficult. This was due to establishing the 2nd venue very late in the organizing stages. As a result, participants were unfortunately left with little options to attend both days unless willing. Needless to say, this matter did not dissuade any enthusiasm from the attendees. Master Ricketts level of knowledge, outstanding skill and often humorous remarks kept everyone on their toes.

The seminar is just the first of many more to come with an August event currently in the works. Now that Master Topher Ricketts is residing in the U.S. he has designated Guro John G. Jacobo as his East Coast Representative for Kali Ilustrisimo. For inquiries contact bakbakan@aol.com .
