Has anyone heard anything good about Samurai Girl (http://abcfamily.go.com/abcfamily/path/section_Specials+Samurai-Girl/page_Detail) with Brendan Fehr (Roswell)?
Family Channel (ABC?) is showing the first 6 episodes of Samurai Girl "Book of Shadows" this weekend. 1st two episodes premier on Friday, then episodes 1-4 on Saturday (5pm central), and finally all six on Sunday (3pm central).

It looked like it was meant for a younger audience so I passed it by. But I admit I'm curious!

I've got 2 young daughters, so I thought it would be something that we could watch together as long as I remember that it's on.

Just finished it - watched all the episodes in one sitting. Storyline is mos def for a younger audience. Brendon Fehr as a kenpo sensei and ninja yakuza assassin? Not too realistic but im sure he was totally psyched to play a "cool" character. The (smidgen of) "Ninja Scroll" magic and fulfilling ancient prophecy stuff is a bit of a stretch as well. Unless of course, telekinesis, magical swords, and believing "gods" can inhabit human avatars is your thing; ie the fantasy aspect is somewhat present. The fight choreography is so so, for what it is. There are car chases and some motorcycle stunts as well. There are plot twists, some intrigue, and even yakuza and interpol/secret agents. Edit: there's a smidgen of Pretty in Pink as well, can u say Duckie?
Saving grace:
- 8 year old nephew and 4 year old niece loved it. So it's worth the family time.
- Stacy Keibler as a motorcycle racing, sword wielding yakuza babe. (just smokin hot!!!)

Aaron Au. He was Hand Ninja #2 in Elektra.
