Hi there,

I'd like to ask one of you to translate the following sentence to me to English. A girl wrote it to me but I don't know *exactly* what it means since she wouldn't tell me.
Thank you in advance.

"mahal na ata kita"

You hit the jackpot...

It means she loves you.

And now we all know she does.

Thanks. I suspected it but wasn't sure of the exact meaning.
Thank you.

Could have been worse... she could have insulted his anatomy or something...

"Mahal na ata kita"...

Wasn't that the title of one of the movies of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo? :D :D

O di kaya't kanta yun ni Ogie Alcasid? :D

She did leave a little wiggle room in there with "ata". This word translates to a coy "I think". So its: I think I love you. :) A little plausible deniability there. :) She wouldn't happen to be a lawyer now would she?

Your response--if you feel the same way: Mahal (love) ata (think) kita (you) din (also)... In short--I think I love you too.
