Hello everyone My name is Wilma and I am a Balintawak student under Master Rico Raagas Carino in Cagayan de Oro City. I am a new student but training hard 12 hours each week. I am the only female student so I must work hard to show the men I am their equal. LOL Below is a YouTube video of me practicing with Master Carino. I welcome your comments.

Looks good! Heh, it must be nice to be in a corto art when you are giving up so much reach to your partner--at largo he'd have a sure advantage!

Thanks Arnisador, your right but remember Balintawak's founder Grand Master Venancio Bacon was only 157 cm tall and weighed about 54kgs and he beat everyone who tested his stick!

Hi Wilma, this is Ritche (a fellow Balintawak student from Tagoloan). Thanks for sharing your video with Master Rico. I met Master Rico in 2002 in the Capistrano St. school. Hopefully I could stop by your club and maybe can train also the next time I go home to CDO. I heard the club now is at Kauswagan?

Good morning Joseph! Thanks sa comments and thank you also for helping me take the video. I hope soon when I am as fast as you I could take video again and share it. Can't wait to swack the stick as fast as you but it needs a lot of efforts and practise but I know my time will come....

Unfortunately I wasn't able to train that time. When I came back, the club is no longer in Capiztrano and didn't know where it got moved. I ended up training with Bobot Ortiz for a little bit. And then ended up training with Robert Abecia when I went home last 2006. Inig ulit nako sunod, definitely I'll stop by your club.
