Pen's are great tools for SD! Olisi Palad, Kubotan, reverse grip knife, all very similar technology! I think for knifers it's almost instinctual to grab a pen or fork, butter knife, etc...

It is good to see self defence applications for items that are found around the home,office or in your pocket.

The principles are the same as if you were holding a stick,palm stick or edged weapon.
