What do you consider the best books and/or videos on your art or any of the Fillipino arts

I have been a practitioner of the Dog Brothers for a while and have nothing bad to say about their instructional videos. Also, Filipino Martial Culture is a great book about history of the FMA's.

Books
1) Dan Anderson's books
2) The Filipino Martial Arts by Dan Inosanto
3) Remy's Pink book
4) Remy's Ohara book
5) Filipino Martial Culture by Mark Wiley
6) Pananandata by Pat Marians (sorry I can't read the correct spelling on the last name eyesight you know)
7) for a historical view I like "Bullets and Bolos" If you have a copy and want to sell it let me know.
8) Hock's material his knife books, or his training manuals.
9) Bowie Knife Fighting by Dwight McLemore (even though it's not on the FMA persay it's good subject matter).
10) Also "The History of the Sword"
Videos
1) Dan Inosanto's older series are pretty good and the newer video/DVDs on the FMA were good as well.
2) Hock's older tapes on the FMA/Presas Arnis/Combat Arnis/PAC material were pretty good. Same with the Dos Manos material.
3) Dieter's Modern Arnis series. One of if not the best laid out progression on Modern Arnis with rank requirements that I have seen. OK granted I haven't seen many other programs belt requirements, but I thought his tape series was good.
4) Dieter's Tapi tapi videoP: excellent tape on this subject matter.
I'll post later my wife needs to get to bed.

Thanks for the link. And to think I could have just spent $1.98 and became a karate master. :)

Well the best book I have read so far (and I have a few) is the Espada 'y' Daga book by GM Dionisio Canete, and most any book by Master Rey Galang. He writes well and puts things down in an easy to understand manner.
Best regards
Pat
There are some rare Pekiti Tirsia videos on eBay right now if anybody is interested. I think it's the Contradas and Basics of Pekiti.

The best videos that I have seen so far are the ones that were shot of GM Rafael Reston of the sinko tiros and balintawak systems that he taught.. But currently, I am more inclined to go with the Dekiti Tirsia Siradas dvds and tapes from GM Jerson (Nene) Tortal.. I also have several books that Edgar Sulite wrote and I picked them up in the Philippines.. I also like the pink/red book that GM Remy Presas wrote.. My copy is one of the first editions and signed.. Another trophy while training and living in the Philippines.. Mark Wiley's books, I can take or leave.. Rey Galang's books are great also.

Absolutely agreed.
Masters of the Blade is excellent and so is Espada y Daga.

I have to back up the recommendations of GM Galang's books, but I'd like to add the "Cebuano Eskrima" by Ned Napangue and Celestino Macachor.
As far as videos go, I'd say there are far too many good ones to list here, but overall, I really like those by Dog Bros and Edgar Sulite.
