are there any schools teaching in texas? im in the houston area

Take a look at http://kidlatarnis.tripod.com/ Last time I heard from Leo, their curriculum had changed a bit, but that's as close as you're going to get.

Yep, I think that's the closest you can get. He should be able to at least give you a good foundation for your basics. But based on his website, you might want to specify "Lightning" since as Ryno mentioned, their teaching seems to have changed...

I'm one of his students. He's very knowlegable, friendly and the teaching is pretty exclusively lsai/leskas. He tells you right away what is part of Lightning and what he's added to the curriculum himself. The differences are minor imo.

There's also Arlan Sanford and Tim Mousel. If I remember correctly, Arlan (one of the Dog Brothers) is on the north side and Tim, under Guro Dan Inosanto, is on the west side.
