Kumusta mga mandirgma,
I live in Canada and i am interested in practicing projectile wepons like Tirador(slingshot), Knife throwing etc; But a friend mentioned to me that it is illegal to practice(obtain) this weapons in Canada. Is this true? My Guro said that the only illegal weapon to have in Canada involving martial arts is nanchuks and balisong(butterfly knifes).
Thank you, and all answer will be greatly appreciated.

Mga Kaibigan,
I called the local RCMP here in edmonton and they directed me to this website.http://www.canlii.org/ca/sta/c-46/ (canadian legal infomation institute)
I also stumbled on a article by a Canadian Martial arts store that lists weapons (including projectile) that are illegal in Canada. Here's the link http://ejmas.com/tin/2004tin/tinart_agnew_0104.html
Unfortunately this means i cannot practice projectile weapons in Canada other than knife throwing of a certain length of Blade or if it is flexible like plastic ninja stars.http://fmatalk.com/images/icons/icon9.gif
