Resources for filipino culture

Can anyone recommend any books, music, or movies for learning more about the culture of the phillipines? Any resources for learning the languages (tapes, classes)? Any one have any stories or travel anecdotes? Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

I recommend checking to see if your local area has a Filipino-American cultural organization or society. Most metro-area's have one. They can be a great wealth of info.
