I was wondering if anyone knows the title/ranking system of Kombatan?

i.e

black belt = ????
2nd degree black belt = ?????
founder of system = punong guro (at least that's what I was told from a friend of mine when I asked what it translate to in tagalog. She said like principal of the school. So punong guro is like the head of the school, the founder(ie: Punong Guro Edgar Sulite of Lameco Eskrima). But then again for each school/academy/dojo... punong guro could be the chief instructor I guess)

mataas ng guro = wouldn't that mean like highest teacher.. aka grand master.

just curious as as the names/ranking/titles in fma confuse me.

thanks,
paul

As far as I know holds Ernestos son Jan-Jan, I think 28 years old, also Lakan Sampu, 10th Dan.

Master Jan is a 7th Dan (Senior Master).
2005 or 2006 Jan-Jan was advertised here in Germany for a camp with 10th Dan

At the Filipino Martial Arts Hall of Fame in the philippines this year Master Jan was only listed as a 7th Dan (Senior Master). He was inducted this year and his poster which I guess Grand Master produced on his behalf only had him there as a 7th Dan.
Not sure if he has been advertised with a greater ranking but he has atleast been a 7th Dan since about 2004 which was the first time that I asked what his official rank was.

Master Johan Skalberg from Sweden was also promoted to 8th Dan as well by Grand Master Presas.
Johan has been with GM since the early 80's so its great to see that recognition go out to him.
Well done to Master Jan Presas it was great news to hear that GM had promoted him, hopefully he will be attending the camp in Sweden this year (hosted by Master Skalberg) with GM and Master Michael.
Great promotions for both each is a dedicated practitioner of Kombatan and a great servant of IPMAF.

Just a note on this 8th Dan is now considered to be the following in Kombatan - Junior Grand Master.

This is different to what was originally posted.
