The year 1972 starts the year in New York City where Pekiti-Tirsia was taught to the FEW and these Few became numbers and these numbers became a known figures in the full contact stick fighting arena held in the US making New York City as the birthplace of Pekiti-Tirsia in the US. With those starting students were Danny and Mike Dukulis of Brooklyn , New York city, BillyMcgrath ,ERwin Ballarta of Detroit, Tom Bisio of Manhattan,Michael Franciotti of California,Eric Kaunus of Columbia University Philipp Gelinas,FRank Ortega of Queens New York. Having gain recognition by the Official Karate, Warriors Magazine, Combat Illustrated , Inside Kungfu, the cable TV in New York city continually presented to the viewing public, what Pekiti-Tirsia as filipino fighting culture.

The true practices of the Filipino discipline is to fight to the finish. It was not design to show how good is the person in terms of artistic ability, each one was tested in the reality of combat. In reality it was not a Martial Arts but a Fight to the Finish. In the word itself, Filipinos in the early days had no idea what martial Arts is . Even from my Grandfather's lips I only heard the word " Fight and kill the enemy" no softness of word nor gentle touch of the word art.
The conditioning of the early discipline of the early forefathers were meant to establish peace through strength from within not from without (to be showy and be the center of attraction). The more you hide your expertise the more you are feared . Only word of mouth will be heard that certain so and so is a fighter and a killer.
In the language of war, one must survive as what the early forefathers did when they fought against the Spaniards for 330 years , they survived and won the war with long patience but with the moral lesson we got from our forefathers that even that long years of struggle against the Spanish atrocities, the forefathers was able to perfect the art of Kali , Now a history to reckon with.
Today we harvested the perfected technology that above and beyond the call to challenge our Pekiti-Tirsia in the hands of our Philippine Marine warriors who by day and night the glittering ginunting speaks the words of our forefathers " kill them all."
We don't discuss what is the style or the system of a known FMA teachers or advocates but you judge by yourself what kind of Education , what kind of discipline, what kind of legacy you are going to leave to your children if you continue to study or acquire some materials were no value at all . You spend money and time that at the end it was a wrong bed to sleep in.
We in the Pekiti-Tirsia, we are still the Few because we have the Ten Thousand Marines that we are training with the expectation that they can be the molding fathers of more Marines to come. Not to mention the Philippine National Police with 155,000 thousand manpower on going with the Philippine National Police Academy that in the year 2006 , we graduated 280 strong 2nd Lts as Police inspectors( commissioned Officers) in the Police Public Safety college from November of 2005 to March of 2006, me and Mandala Rommel Tortal , we graduated
3, 400 non-commissioned PNP oofficers ) now in the streets of every city with majority in the Cities of Metro Manila. The National Police College, 6 days of intensive training for the lateral entry of 50 National Police Attorneys and 60 Police Doctors with added Forensic and National Police Inspectors numbered to 400, the Special Action Force Commandos numbering to 3,800 with added Crisis Respond Group , the Aviation Security Group and the Intelligence Group plus the recent added DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE Agents.
The higher command of the Philippine Marines and the Philippine National Police knows the impact of the culture of COURAGE AND BRAVERY of what is a Filipino, a true full bloodied culture. With this culture we share to our friends throughout the world not to compete or damage what has been taught by the Japanese or Chinese or Koreans as they teach their Martial Arts but what is sad to note that the advocates of the FMA send a wrong signal that FMA is a combination of Japanese with a footwork that is Chinese and the feet is Koreans and the mentality is non-Filipino but talk about FMA.
I don't invite anyone to be in the Pekiti-Tirsia , because first of all the Training is hard and tedious, the applied knowledge is in the hands of disciplined trained PTK with no thoughts of commercializing the art but to be seriously dedicate himself to embrace the warriors culture to reach to the highest peak of the Doctrine of Discipline to teach
If you and your life meant a lot to your future ask any of our Instructors in Europe or directly contact Mandala Uli Weidle of the Pekiti-Tirsia Kali European Organization , Agalon Mike Marlow of the Scandinavian PTK and in Latin America based in Argentina , Manunudlo Nic Wacshmann Pekiti-Tirsia Global Organization with Mandala Tim Waid for North and South America and in the Philippines Mandala Rommel Tortal of the Asia Pacific Confederation of the Pekiti-Tirsia Kali Systems. Inc. and the Manila PTK Pitbulls with Mandala Mandatus Jasper De Ocampo, Agalon Jay Bataclan or the Interns Dj Labrado, Mike Alcaraz, Jake Cuna, Richard and Buddy Acenas and all the Fighters under training and the Bolo Company under Capt. Rommel Bogs and Master Sgt. Bill Baltazar and Master Sgt. Many Prado of the PMC.
Pekiti-Tirsia is not meant for Sports it is a combat system. If the art is meant for Sports then that is the start in commercializing the created style and an imaginary system. Who is the victim or who can be a victim.
The true FMA is a sacred art, it was blessed by the blood of the forefathers meaning to say don't make money out of their blood by prostituting the real culture and turning it into some magical forms of art. others the true survival Philosophy.

Pekiti-Tirsia kali organization both in Europe and in the United States of American under the leadership of Mandala Uli Weidle for Europe and Mandala Tim Waid for the USA. These Gentlemen went into the test of responsibility with the freedom to manage and be able to extend the Education that is Filipino Fighting Culture. In the course of time all their efforts were fruitful to the extent that they were able to have the finished strong mentally fighters and men of valor including women who showed their superiority in time of conflict.
These two men of valor are contributory to the greatest task of cultural education all about the filipinos and all the written and unritten history. Each of one is a master of their own Profession but on to the right side of their mentality they are warriors of different magnitude.
Mandala Uli Weidle had traveled all the way to Germany, three to four times a year to gain the advancement training not only in the system but to gross trained with the marines and the PNP , gaining the wisdom of combat and conducting research in the art of perfect blade, he attained that victory by marrying a Filipina culture with now a Son to be the next man of valor. On the hand Mandala Tim Waid was with me for 3-4 year consistenly in my Province personally gained my personal touch of the PTK as it was taught in its originality. he sacrificed his years of hard work gaining the knowledge and wisdom of the past. His married to a filipina culture while in the Philippines and he has a son, the next to be the real warrior in time for the next generation of PTK.
There are three born warriors under the PTK generation. My only Son, Uli's Son and Tim's Son . All born under the Doctrine of PTK

It's great to see how widely the art has spread over the years. Some people think you can only get good FMA in the Philippines, but there are talented people all over the world, it seems!
