This article was done in 2004, it was reported in several knife and combatives forums right after it happened.. It is always good that the troops are still using the tools as they were initially developed for in combatives..

Nice. It's good to see Salvadorian troops in this light. I grew up with Salvadorian refugee schoolmates and I would hear horror stories of how they had to live in El Salvador. In spite of this, the children I knew were well-mannered and seemed quite focused on their schoolwork, which gave me a sense of hope especially for El Salvador. I really appreciated their presence.
