Hell all, I was just browsing youtube and noticed this clip of the Atienza Brothers...

Does PTK do any type of archery as part of your system?

Do you have links of videos showing what some of that is about?

Thanks for your time!

Pt-go.com under the Grand Tuhon Blog has info on the PTK archery.

Personally I don't see how archery would be a practical tool for combat these days.

Judging from what Grand Tuhon Gaje says on his blog, I gather that it is used for both physical and spiritual development. Quite a few FMA's use ancillary weapons to develop attributes deemed essential to the practice of their arts; in the case of archery my best guess is that mastery would develop a sense of heightened focus and relaxation.

Is theer something that distinguishes PTK (or other) Filipino archery from other countries' systems--a technical difference between it and other archery traditions?

Didn't check out the vids or blog yet, but as for myself I met some Doce Pares guys a few years back who told me about some good boar hunting they used to do in the hills surrounding Hollister, CA. They used night-vision goggles, crossbows, and knives. Sounded like great fun, wish I could try it out some time. One of those "if I had the time and money" things.. :)
