Now that we know who teaches what to whom I have a question. How many of y'all have trained with Tim or Tuhon in, let's say the last year or two?
I'll speak for Eddie as I know he has. I've seen Dustin's name pop up here and there, and I know he has.
I'm just curious as to how many current PTK guys (or gals) are about.
BTW, I have.

KHD,
Little known fact. Guro Hunt comes from a long line of deadly Appalacian Banjo Masters. He can show you the best way to get from A to E.
Also, Tim will be in NY mid to late May. Contact Eddie (he should be released from time out soon) for more details.

I am one of the first generation students of Grand Master Gaje training under him the 70's
Train with them in the US and the PI.
Greeting to all...
On and off over the last three years, I have been trained by both Maginoo Tim and Tuhon Gaje. If you have been interested in training yet have never gotten to it, do yourself a huge favor and go see them. It'll open your eyes.
Chris, we are actually bringing Tuhon Gaje here to the Sunshine State of Florida the weekend of June 23-24 to the Boca/Miami area for his first U.S. seminar of 2007. Should anyone be interested in joining us, contact me for further details.
Thanks and best regards to all,

I began training PTK in the early 90s under Omar Hakim I then continued my training with Tim Waid when he moved back from the Phillipines in the 90s, and of course with GT Gaje every time he is within a 5 hour drive.
I have been a Police officer since 1992 and a Police Trainer since 1996.
I have been teaching PTK (a edged weapons counter ambush course) to the Officers as a part of thier departmental training. I have received alot of help and support from Tim in developing these courses.
Although I am certified in PPCT, TASER, Manadnock, Controlled Force, etc. I can truly say that Pekiti Tirsia is unsurpassed in its understanding of combative principles and how the practicioner can APPLY them in survival situations.
Thanks

Wes, How is that paladin long and short sword working out for you ?
It actually has nothing to do with me. What's curious though is why are you bringing it up Eddie? What is it that you're trying to say? Tuhon Bill's book and associated projects have nothing to do with the Pekiti Tirsia that he teaches. But again, I have to wonder what you're really getting at - besides another failed attempt at a punch line...

Eddie,
While I was on vacation I responded to one of your posts but you didn't reply. I was wondering if you'd respond now, and give me your honest take on what I said.
The first quote is yours:
Just as it did with Tuhon Bill. All i can say is that all three Tuhon's have very diffrent styles. But Tuhon Gaje's being most like what i learned from Maginoo Tom Bisio when i first started. In fact there is no diffrence because Tom learned the doce methodos from Leo.
Here is my reply:
Here I have to disagree with you. I hope that I am not speaking out of turn when I say that Tom and Tuhon William McGrath came up at the same time and learned the same curriculum. I can't see much "stylistic" difference between Tuhon McGrath and Grand Tuhon Gaje in this clip:
http://www.pekiti.com/video_clips/LEO96-ALL.mpg
Of course, I've never met GT Gaje and don't know how he has developed Pekiti Tirsia Kali in the last ten years. The man is a legend and, if Tom's attitude is any indication, a complete master of Filipino martial arts and the true heir to Pekiti Tirsia Kali. That's undisputed. For that matter, Tuhon McGrath has never, in the few years that I've been attending his classes and seminars spoken with anything less than glowing respect for the man he generally refers to as "my teacher." I believe that his comportment should be a model for the rest of us.
With respect to Tuhon McGrath, I've had the advantage of learning a little Filipino martial arts under both Tom Bisio and Bill Schettino (no slouch, as I am sure you are aware, at understanding the "essence" of Pekiti Tirsia), and can with that lens observe that he is a superlative teacher. We've trained together up in Fishkill so you know what I'm talking about. Personal and political agendas don't take away skill level.
Best,
Steve Lamade

Mr. Wiggins,
Late post. I haven't been on this thread. I train with Tim on a regular basis (2-3 times since the beginning of this year) and Tuhon during his seminar tour here in the states. I highly recommend training with them and attending as many seminars as you can.
I will be hosting Tim this coming weekend (28th and 29th). Check the seminar thread for more information or send me an email.
Sincerely,

So far, Grand Tuhon Gaje hasn't been in Finland. Uli Weidle is coming here for the third time though. Couldn't make it last year and can't make it this year, but I was there two years ago. He's a great teacher! My training has been on an on-off basis anyway, hopefully some time in the future more often.
