i am turning 34 and still quite fascinated with FMA. i would like to learn FMA if it is not too late yet. can someone point me to any school in cagayan de oro?

There is a group known as "Oro Balintawak Arnis" in Cagayan de Oro. I don't know who exactly the instructor is but on this one fellow's YouTube.com videos page is one name, Danny Vedua. See if you can find a local connection with the name.
