View Full Version : Cacoy Canete Hospitalized.

From Eskrima Digest:

This is to inform you that our GM Cacoy was hospitalized for a bleeding
intestinal or gastric ulcer, according to Cacoy's son Dennis Canete.
GM Cacoy is out of the Intensive Care Unit and will be resting for the
next two days in the hospital. The family request that you not attempt
to contact Cacoy by telephone. He will need rest and recuperation.
However, our combined power of prayers for Cacoy's speedy recovery and
good health will always be helpful. Get Well Cards sent to Cacoy will
keep his spirits warm with love from his students. Please share GM
Cacoy's Blessings with his certified high ranking instructors.

Too many of the older FMA masters are facing health issues recently. I hope that this is but a minor issue and he will soon be back up and with us. My prayers are with him.

We are losing too many Manongs and elders.
They have so much left to share and teach for the next generation.

Manong Cacoy is fine and well. Check out You Tube I have started posting some clips of Grandmaster training (with his permision). This is after his illness. It didn't take him long to recover and to get back on the mat (a real demonstration of his inner strength and returning physical strength).

Manong is now back in The USA conducting seminars as usual.

A truly remarkable man.
