Well, I thought I'd post on here to see if we can get this forum rolling.

What are your favorite drills to do and why?

Right now I'm working Qol demama alot, and using it as the basis for rolling into the other drills or just working counters. Right now we are working on transitioning between qol, dakup y punyo, and break in/break out.

I like the contradas and use the drills mentioned above to help distinguish the bridging from largo- medio and Medio- corto. Qol de mama, dakup y punyo and BI/BO are medio-corto drills. What makes it fun is to use the "thought provoking process" to really understand which are the preffered strikes that fit the right footwork and strikes that translate to strategies rather than pre programmed moves.

Since I am really new to PTK, could you give a brief description of the drills in addition to their names?

I've learned the BI/BO drill two ways, one as a largo to corto and one as a medio to corto, when we practice it alone we mostly practice it from largo. In the context of shfting between Qol and BI/BO we are of course working it as medio-corto.

Is there a video clip presenting / explaining the Qol demama drill?
