To give you some ideas on the general program of Modern Arnis we are propagating with our group, the following are only lists

Beginners Level, includes all preliminaries such as traditional stick exercises, salutation, fighting postures, variations of gripping, single stick drills such as offensive and defensive, double stick drill includes its application, basic dis arming with stick, unarmed disarming against knife, bolo and club attacks. In this level we expose our trainees to sports arnis skills and competitions both non continuous and continuous types of sparring.

Intermediate Level, includes the training of tapi tapi, traditional arnis system suchn as palis palis, herada, todo juego, espada y daga (we`re using sabre and dagger), baston y daga, punyal, taming, mano mano at dumog, Kali Ilustrisimo, tapado, bankaw Includes here are free style sparring using different weapons.

Advance Level, includes technical skills on training, coaching and one year apprenticeship. Passing a Juego Todo sparring using live stick and minimal protector such as gloves and head protector only.

With regards to belting, we did not adopt it. Only by rank such as baguhan (beginner), likha (intermediate), lakan/dayang (expert) and titles such as maestro (teacher) . This is to avoid controverises that haunting the MA in the RP. And at the same time we are trying to keep all techniques and methodologies only to our members.

Hope, this will give you an idea to create your program. This is the uniqueness of MA, create and develop the stick fighting.
