Origin of Modern Arnis Salutation
By Tony Torre - Thu, 02 Nov 2006 15:10:48 GMT

====================

Does anyone know the origin of the Modern Arnis salutation? Is there any dialogue that goes with it?

Thanks,
Tony Torre

Based only on oral history about early Filipino warriors prior to the coming of Spanish, they giving a salute to an authority by putting their right hand to the left chest which shows their true and deep respect to someone in front. This maybe an influence of Moro culture to those non-Muslim Filipino.
